Funding Rate Analytics

Overview

The Funding tab provides comprehensive analysis of your funding costs and borrowing activities, helping you understand the true cost of maintaining leveraged positions. This tab is exclusively available for CEX (Centralized Exchange) and Hyperliquid accounts and offers detailed insights into your funding costs/payments.

Key Features

Summary Metrics Cards

The top section displays four key funding metrics:

Total Equity

• Displays: Your current overall portfolio value in USD

• Purpose: Provides context for funding cost analysis relative to your total account value

• Usage: Used to calculate funding return percentage

Cumulative Funding

• Displays: Total accumulated funding payments/receipts over time

• Calculation: Sum of all funding payments/costs since account inception

Cumulative Borrow

• Displays: Total accumulated borrowing costs over time

Funding Return

• Displays: Funding impact as a percentage of your total equity

• Calculation: (Total Funding in Period / Total Equity) × 100

• Color coding:

  • Green: Positive funding return (net funding received)

  • Red: Negative funding return (net funding paid)

• Purpose: Shows how funding costs affect your overall returns

Funding Payments Chart

A comprehensive stacked bar chart showing funding activity in 4-hour intervals:

Chart Features

• 4-Hour Intervals: Funding rates are paid every 4 hours at 00:00, 04:00, 08:00, 12:00, 16:00, 20:00 UTC

• Stacked Bars: Multiple data series combined in each bar

• Time Frame Controls: Buttons to switch between 1D, 7D, 30D, and 1Y views

Data Series

• 4-Hour Funding (Green/Red bars)

  • Green: Positive funding (you received payments)

  • Red: Negative funding (you paid costs)

  • Calculation: Net funding payments for each 4-hour period

• Borrow Costs (Orange bars)

• Deposits (Blue bars)

  • Shows deposits made during each 4-hour period

• Withdrawals (Pink bars)

  • Shows withdrawals made during each 4-hour period

  • Displayed as negative values (subtracted from the stack)

Chart Interactions

• Hover Tooltips: Show exact values for each data series

• Time Period Selection: Use 1D, 7D, 30D, 1Y buttons to change the analysis window

Average Funding Rate Chart

• Displays: Column chart showing funding rates by trading pair

• Y-Axis: Funding rate as percentage

• Purpose: Compare funding rates across different trading pairs

• Tooltip: Shows exact funding rate percentage on hover

Funding Contribution Chart

• Dispalys: Pie chart showing each position's contribution to total funding

• Purpose: Identify which positions contribute most to your funding costs/benefits

• Legend: Shows percentage contribution for each position

Positions Table

A detailed table showing funding metrics for each trading pair:

Table Columns

• Symbol: Trading pair (e.g., BTCUSDT, ETHUSDT)

• Avg Funding Rate: Average funding rate as percentage (e.g., 0.0123% = 0.000123)

• Total Funding: Net funding amount in USD for the selected time period

• Contribution: Percentage of total funding attributed to this position.
