Managed Service
The TaaS managed service is a solution designed to simplify and streamline the trading infrastructure for clients who engage in trading activities. Unlike the self-hosted offering which requires clients to manage and maintain the entire trading stack, the managed service offsets the operation of the trading engine to Tread Labs.
The TaaS managed service accomplishes this setup by splitting it into two distinct services:
Trading Engine: This service is responsible for hosting and managing the core trading engine and OEMS. Tread Labs takes on task of setting up, maintaining, and optimizing the trading engine infrastructure in private instances per client. Managed service clients can offload the complexities of infrastructure management, freeing them to focus solely on trading strategies and decision-making.
Client Proxy Service: Clients are provided with a lightweight proxy service that serves as an intermediary between managed TaaS instance (run by Tread Labs) and the exchanges. This proxy establishes secure connections to exchange APIs, handles order routing, and provides data feeds to the client's trading algorithms. Since the heavy lifting of infrastructure management is handled by TaaS, clients can deploy and run this proxy service with minimal effort. A key feature of the proxy is that the exchange API keys are only stored within this layer of infrastructure.
Key benefits of the TaaS managed service include:
Simplified Infrastructure: Clients no longer need to set up and maintain complex trading infrastructure, reducing operational overhead.
Enhanced Reliability: TaaS is professionally managed to ensure high reliability and minimal downtime.
Scalability: Clients can easily scale their trading strategies without worrying about infrastructure limitations.
Security: The proxy service stores the exchange API keys and ensures secure communication with exchanges, reducing the risk of data breaches or unauthorized access.
