### What is Algo Swap Mode?

Algo Swap is one of two primary trading modes on the platform. It provides a streamlined interface for sophisticated order execution, managing all the technical details behind the scenes.

You can toggle between **Algo Swap** and **Terminal** trading modes using the buttons at the top of the interface.

### Key Features

* **Swap-Like Interface:** Trade using a familiar and simplified UI that removes the need to manually fine-tune complex execution settings.
* **Institutional-Grade Execution:** Access intelligent algorithms (like TWAP and VWAP) that work to achieve cost-efficient and precise execution.
* **Real-Time Pre-Trade Analytics:** Get live insights on your potential order's impact, including its Participation Rate, Volatility, and Market Volume.
* **Intelligent Automation:** The order form automatically suggests optimal execution algorithm and adjusts to market liquidity and volatility.
* **Estimated Execution Time:** See the expected duration of an order based on the selected urgency level.
* **Dual Trading Support:** Trade on both Centralized Exchanges (CEX) and Decentralized Exchanges (DEX) from a single interface. This guide focuses on CEX trading. For DEXs, see our guide on [**Submitting DEX Orders**](/dex-swaps-trading/submitting-dex-orders.md).

### How to Trade with Algo Swap

1. **Select Algo Swap Mode** Navigate to the top of the trading panel and select the **Algo Swap** toggle.
2. **Select CEX Account(s)** Use the **Account** dropdown menu to select one or more CEX accounts to trade with. Your available balance will update based on your selection.
3. **Select a Trading Pair** Use the dual-token input to select the asset you wish to sell and the asset you wish to buy.
4. **Enter Order Quantity** Enter the amount you want to trade in either the base or quote asset field. The other field will update automatically based on the current market price.
5. **Configure Execution Strategy** Select the **Urgency** level for your trade. This automatically configures the underlying execution parameters for your order. The five levels are:

   * Very Low
   * Low
   * Medium
   * High
   * Very High

   Our system will automatically select the optimal execution strategy (e.g., [TWAP](/creating-and-submitting-orders/advanced-settings/trajectories/twap.md), [VWAP](/creating-and-submitting-orders/advanced-settings/trajectories/vwap.md) or [Market](/creating-and-submitting-orders/strategies/market.md)) based on your selected urgency, order size, and real-time market conditions. *(Execution switches to* [*Market*](/creating-and-submitting-orders/strategies/market.md) *if the estimated duration is under 2 minutes.)*
6. **Review Pre-Trade Analytics** Before submitting, review the **Pre-Trade Analytics** panel. This provides estimates on how your order might impact the market.
   * **Participation Rate:** The estimated percentage of the total market volume your order will represent. High participation can impact the price.
   * **Order Volatility:** The expected price fluctuation during the execution of your order.
   * **Market Volume:** An indicator of current liquidity.
7. **Submit the Order** Click the **Buy** or **Sell** button. You may be prompted to review a final confirmation before the order is sent to the exchange.
