### Create sub-account

#### Navigate to Subaccounts

* Once you’re logged in, navigate to your profile icon in the top-right corner.
* Click ”Subaccounts” from the dropdown menu.

#### Create a New Sub-Account

* On the Subaccount management page, click ”Create Subaccount”.

#### Choose Standard Sub-Account

* You will be prompted to select the sub-account type. Choose Standard Subaccount to allow for general-purpose use and trading.

#### Set Up Sub-Account Details

* Enter a nickname for your sub-account to help you easily identify it and click “Confirm”.
* You also have the option to add and set a required password for this subaccount.

#### Complete Security Verification

* Complete the verification process by entering the code sent to your registered email.
* If 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) is enabled on your account, you’ll need to enter the authentication code as well.
* Once done, click “Next Step”.

### Create API Key for sub-account

#### Navigate to API Management via Subaccount

* Return to the Subaccounts section of your dashboard.
* In the list, find the newly created subaccount. Next to the subaccount details, click on ”Management”.

#### Create New API Key

* From the API Management section of your subaccount, click ”Create New Key” to initiate the creation of a new API key.

#### Choose API Key Type

* Select System-generated API Keys to automatically provide both the API Key and Secret Key, offering a secure and hassle-free setup recommended for most users.

#### Configure API Key Settings

* Specify the key's name
* Choose the API key permissions:&#x20;
  * `Read-Write`
* Select "Only IPs with permissions granted are allowed to access the OpenAPI" and enter the TaaS server's IP address: `54.238.80.239`
  * This IP address can be located: app.tread.fi , selecting the wallet icon, and Connect CEX Account.
* Once configured, click "Submit".

#### Security Verification

* Enter the 2FA code for security verification to proceed with the API key creation.

#### Review and Confirm

* Review all details and click "Understood" to finalize your API key setup. Keep your API key and secret confidential.

### Linking API Key to tread.fi&#x20;

* Open up tread's Key Management menu. From the app.tread.fi home page, it can be accessed by clicking on the wallet icon on the top right.
* Click Connect CEX Account

* Select Bybit from the Exchange dropdown
* Set a name for this key for your own reference.
* Copy and Paste the API Key and Secret from Bybit into the respective boxes.
* Click submit.
